I have been working on trying to get my printer running and everything is complete, at least for a test run anyway. The problem I have now is that I can't get the computer to recognize the board. I started with a board purchased from Zen tool-works. In my zeal to get the printer running, I mistakenly swapped the power inputs and fried the capacitor, maybe the whole board. I replaced capacitor and I got nothing, so I tried a new board from Botronicz. I tried the new board (Win 7 x64) and I got nothing. I tried again (Ubuntu) and still nothing. I tried both with and without the power supply. When I plug the board in I don't even get a searching for driver notice and nothing shows up in the device manager. I tried plugging into a USB 3.0 and I got an overcurrent notice. So the question is what am I doing wrong? Did I somehow fry the new board also? Would I have a better shot with RAMPS or some other configuration? Thanks for the help in advance.
